Huawei gave all press reporters a chance to play around with the P2, the successor of the P1, before their scheduled event at Mobile World Congress. The Huawei P2 sports a 4.7-inch IPS display with a mediocre 720p resolution and is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 2 from the front. Here is a hands on:
The 8.4mm thin smartphone is pretty sleek and carries a 13MP snapper at its back and a 1.9MP shooter in the front. Internally, the P2 packs in Hauwei’s own KV32 SoC that consists of four Cortex-A9 cores clocked at 1.5GHz. Other specs of the P2 include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot, a 2420mAh battery and LTE connectivity using Huawei’s own modem. Expect Huawei to announce the full specs of the P2 once it officially announces the handset at its scheduled press conference in MWC, Barcelona.
The P2 we managed to get our hands on was running Android 4.1.2 with Huawei’s own custom skin dubbed as Emotion UI on top of it. We will be uploading a quick hands-on video of the Huawei P2 later today, along with its full specs.
