Micromax last Flagship devices was Canvas 4, a phone that was launched in 2013, and it seems the company might launch the Canvas 5 on June 18th of this month.
Manish at TechPP Reports that the phone is expected to have 1080P display, a MediaTek Helio processor and a 16 MP rear camera., putting this into a flagship segment. If you take a look at the range of devices the company had produced, it not surprising that they followed the footprints of Samsung as they had too many models, all overlapping. This is the primary reason, why they came up with YU brand.
Canvas Knight was almost the flagship device, with high-end specs ( 5 inch HD Screen, Snapdragon 615, Octa core processor, 1.5 Ghz clocked and 2 GB RAM) but it still was’t named as Canvas 5.
Probably Micromax may surprise us with some new series here, just like YU, but only for high-end phones which could be a great strategy to let go their overlapping series. Its only 2 more days!!
