Finally it’s all mystery behind the big guesses has been revealed, Microsoft just announced Windows Tablet, SURFACE which will come in two versions. One running Windows RT and other running Windows 8 Pro. Below are the known Specs and you should also read on which version you should buy.

Microsoft Touch Cover uses unique pressure sensing technology which interprets typing as gestures. This means unless you start moving your finger, it will not type anything. This allows you to type 52 Words a minute. Type Cover is like the real keyboard, still thinner, but allows you to go 62 words a minute.
Availability and pricing :
Windows RT device available at RTM, Windows Pro device available at RTM + 3 months. Seems like Pro devices are delayed intentionally to push the sale of RT devices.
Pricing is not out yet, probably because Windows 8 is not out officially. Hopefully we will get to see details in next 2-3 months.

Steve Ballmer started with telling how Windows is the heart and soul of the company and how many PC it powers now and then moves to Windows 8. He says Windows 8 is one of the perfect OS which makes your Laptop, really mobile. He then actually talks on how hardware partners hadn’t envisioned and Microsoft is already doing a great job in hardware production. Then he had set example on how successfull Xbox & Kinect were, both under control of Microsoft.
Microsoft was good and infact surprising of keeping such a huge secret and infact they lured the attendees for every moment. Right from 5 20 PM ticket. Tablet like design on the screen as they came in were pointing to a device which was like 16:9 Ratio of screen size, blurring the distinction between Computer and Tablets or a dual screen tablet.
