Sync Contacts between Mobile and Windows Live Account with Microsoft Phone Data Manager

Microsoft® Phone Data Manager is a PC application that enables you to sync all your contacts , phone numbers , with your windows live account and you you no longer have to worry in case you loose  your phone or corrupting its contents – your contacts, precious pictures and videos and music files can be kept safe.

This product came to me as a surprise as I never thought it existed. This is still in beta phase but works just fine. It has most of the phones which I have listed at the end of this article. Microsoft® Phone Data Manager Beta can communicate with your phone via a wireless standard known as Bluetooth, or via a USB cable.

This product is really cool for people who use Windows Live messenger. Here is a snapshot

Here is snapshot which shows how it syncs with live messenger account

Over all its a nice product. But many of use will be comfortable with Nokia back up. No doubt but Nokia software does not sync with your windows live messenger account. Right!!! You can download the software from here

Finally Here is the list of phones which works fine with Microsoft Phone Data manager

  1. Woohooo! Finally a way to sync my n95 with Live Mail. Thanks sooo much for bringing this to my attention.

The whole ‘Nokia ignoring it’s users with sync questions’ has driven me to loose all faith in them. When I swap the n95 it’ll be for a phone from a company that respects it’s users.

In the mean time this is a very handy solution. If only it did the calendar as well…

    James
