Today at CES, Steve Ballmer announced Kinect Avatar in CES 2011 which brings Face recognition on Kinect that mirrors your facial movements to Xbox Live avatar ( Thanks Abhishek for explaining ). This also means that people who do have Kinect can get online and meet and look each other through their Avatars and it will look something like this :
This Avatar will come as an update to XBox Kinect and I hope it comes soon. Though it might be too early to predict but soon in near future we should have sensors to get feedback when you touch something either through the controller or may be through another hardware.
