Xiaomi Launches Redmi 2 in India for Rs 6,999; Goes on Sale on 24th March

As promised in January, Xiaomi has announced its next version of Radmi 1S, and they call it as Redmi 2. Priced at Rs 6,999 the phone is not just bumped up on its price point, but also comes with improved hardware specification. The phone comes with 720P display on its 4.7 inch screen which is protected by dragon trail scratch proof protection

The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad Core processor (64 bit) and Adreno 305 GPU. Making sure you can run all the apps smoothly, the phone has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, which is also a basic norm now. Those who manage two numbers, you should be delighted as it is a DUAM SIM model with 4G/ LTE & 3G support. You also have WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phone comes with the latest software from Xiaomi, MIUI 6 which runs on top of Android 4.4 KitKat.
