After a long wait, Xiaomi has announced their Flagship phone–The Mi5–after 2 years when they launched Xiaomi Mi4. Keeping in mind that this is a flagship device, it lives up to the expectation, at least from specification perspective. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s latest SoC Snapdragon 820 where the company has finally solved the heating issue. Its a Quadcore processor which also runs in HP Elite X3.
When it comes to Display, it house a 5.5 inch 1080P display with on-board Adreno 530 GPU. To make sure the consumers can utilise its complete power, the phone also comes with 3GB / 4GB RAM. The phone will be sold in three variants with different internal storage. You have 32 GB, 64GB and 128 GB models. 128GB mode also comes with 4GB RAM while the two of the formers get 3GB RAM.
Shutterbugs should cheer up because the phone not only has a 16 MP rear camera, it comes with dual-tone LED flash, Auto Focus, Phase detection, and 4K video recoding capability. The rear camera houses a 4MP camera, but has 2 um pixel size. If you followed the Samsung Galaxy S7, that phone had 1.4u which was enough to get good picture, and this comes with 2 um which will make selfies good looking.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 7. One thing which I liked a lot about this phone is the design. Its definitely well done with those curves, and finishes.
Those who are still looking for the fingerprint sensor, yes its there but is integrated into the home button, just like the iPhone. This is something I honestly don’t like from convenient perspective. Having a fingerprint sensor in the rear is more productive, and much faster. The phone supports 2 SIM, and supports 4G. It houses a 3000mAh Batter with fats charging and weighs only 129g
